… having an OKCupid account and using said account to flirt with men online in the safety of my own home and possibly deciding to meet the ones who turn out to have common ties to friends and/or activities around me and my community and possibly becoming sexually active with them or not… means that I am having “whore-ish hook ups”; I am a “desperate internet slut”; and that I have become “the girl that gets fucked by any guy that’s willing”.

I need FEMINISM because my ex-boyfriend broke into my OKCupid account and read all of my messages.

I need FEMINISM because the quotes above are his words in an e-mail he sent to me.

I need FEMINISM because I could try to press charges but I don’t want to be a “bitch”.

I need FEMINISM because he will not be sorry for any of this.

I need FEMINISM because he does not think he has done or said anything truly wrong… that I am the one who is wrong.

I need FEMINISM because a woman cannot express herself sexually, in whatever way she sees fit, without someone, even the people she cares about most, telling her she is a “whore”.
